Big Steer Restaurant & Lounge in Nortdfield

Not a bad truck stop. Not a great one either. Decent amount of spots but because of the design theres not a lot of places to park “creatively” omce they fill up. They have a subway, but the people working it... Theres also a problem with the water since its “well water” I didnt even know there was a difference, but that’s not the stores fault. Id hold off and shower at somewhere with good water if you can wait (I couldnt). Nice people working the store store though, place seems to be in good shape other than that.

Good truck stop. Usually has lots of parking. Restaurant is closed. Has a Subway & PJ Fresh food. Friendly employees. I would recommend staying here when needed.

The cashier was prompt about caring for her customers and was even having small talk with them although she was busy. That takes some real talent. She really made each person feel as if they were her soul focus. Pretty amazing I'm very impressed and will be stopping there again next time.

Great truck stop. Super friendly staff. I was a train wreck when I walked in. They helped me get everything I needed and wanted. Thank you! PS their pizza and their soups are very delicious. :-)

Nice ladies, and cute. But SUPER slow in getting people rung up and getting new food up to the serving line. Not to mention the watered down coffee. Lost a lot of driving time here.

One of the best truck stops around always friendly staff and its clean!

As a truck driver, I go to many Pilots and Flying J’s across the country. This is the worst experience I’ve had in one. And the first time I felt that I needed to leave a review. It is 5:46am 12/12/19 and there is absolutely no hot food out at all. No pizza, no hot dogs, burritos or sandwiches. NOTHING. Plus there was a line of drivers that had been waiting nearly 10 minutes to check out before someone came to the register. Even if this were a smaller location, this would still not be acceptable!

Its clean. The staff is helpful and friendly. The FOOD WAS FRESH!! Cant say that about every pilot or flying j. I love chicken wings especially the Nashville wings and for the first time in months they were prepared right, hot and fresh [meaning edible] let that stick with you a moment. The parking lot is fairly shmedium big its shaped funny toward the back. It was good to do a 34 reset and get my fuel.

Very busy and not enough staff working the registers. The hot food container was empty, one of the sinks in the men's room didn't work and all of their coffee was nearly out.The staff I dealt with polite and efficient, just not enough of them.Be careful going in and out as there is major road construction going on around them. As for food, they only have a Subway (what else).

The water has a smell to it like eggs!! I let the shower run for awhile to see if it would go away. Either my nose got used to it or it went away. A few hours later I used the restroom. I wet my hands to wash them and the water in there smelled like eggs. My boyfriend said his shower water smelled too. Time to clean the pipes. I wouldn't dare it the food after that.

3 girls and one guy working in the gas station. Erin with the blonde hair had the nastiest attitude (again, if you hate working customers find another job) We waited so long on a shower that we didn’t even worry about getting it because no one was trying to clean the shower. Asked for my shower to be put back on the card and Erin caught another attitude because she didn’t pit it on there correctly the first time. Absolutely disgusting in the store.. Subway had no bread or steak. Long lines. This was the worst Pilot I’ve ever been too. Men where complaining about the men’s bathroom not working. Women’s bathroom was disgusting. The eating area was disgusting.

Parking is implorable! Had to drive across scale to enter property so i wouldnt hit another truck exiting. This driver is going to a oid this place at all costs.

I stopped here on 11/5 to fuel and grab some coffee and was planning on getting a hot dog or pizza. Fueling went smooth but no pizza, hot dogs, or other deli foods then I went to Subway and no one was around. Yes this was late night but I ended up, purchasing the coffee and left. I don't want chips, cookies or other junk food, I want something that will sustain me for awhile.Clerk wasn't friendly either. No hi, I received change back, and she walked away without saying anything. Clerk #725

Decent truck stop. Would love to have a Denny's restaurant inside the building instead of a vacant space though.

Busy, but clean and quick in and out if you're in a hurry. Serves truckers so along with the usual gas station offerings they have a plethora of extras like small selection of seasonal clothing, showers, electronics (which is handy if you left your Bluetooth or cords somewhere, and insulated cups just to name a few.

The only issue on this location is the truck ENTERY AND EXIT . They are not well designed. Don’t try to use the exit as an entrance for the the exit is SO tight and you will not be able to find an space to pass the exiting traffics.Decent driver lounge, subway ...

Dirty,The big line,Subway restaurant is bad not clean,The restroom they dont clean,Showers dirty,Please Pilot manager take care of this place,The employers just lazy.Hire the people who wants to work not this people,The manager is mean person

Bathrooms were very dirty ...so was the parking lot and the fuel island ..... Subway staff were more worried about their phones than doing their job.... pizza was old and cold .,., But the flying j cashier's were very nice and attentive

I went to subway tonight had a coupon for the new pit smoked brisket sub the guy behind the counter must not understand the coupon because he ask me 15 times or more what I kind of meet I was wanting I said what was on the coupon by then six customer walk out he didn’t have anything stock keep going back to get veggies and cheese and meats when I worked at a subway before I become a truck driver I made sure I had everything I needed before I even started my shift but this guy just didn’t want to be at work tonight he still had a toboggan on which was not even good .. They definitely need to train better and have people who is waiting to work ..it’s not hard to read off a coupon for a foot long pit smoked brisket sub on cheesy garlic bread ...I will go in Iowa before I eat again at subway..Truck drivers are in a rush sometimes ...

I was met by a Nice lady Ms Sunny then I met the manager Mr Randy.I could sense right away that he is a true leader that knows how to lead by example and it shows through his employees.I would recommend Ms Sunny for management training.There is an atmosphere permeating this establishment and I noticed the smile on the customers faces as they leave the register.

Great place to fuel up when you’re pulling a load! Even when there’s a blizzard going on!

Clean, well stocked station. Fresh, hot breakfast food looked wonderful. I didn't get any food, we were just fueling up.

2 things: 1- it will be so nice when they get the construction done! It is confusing to get in and out in the dark in the snow! 2- they have a huge bin of DVDs labeled at $4.97, mixed with other prices a lot higher. When I asked at the register if the price on the one I wanted to buy was 497, I was told that people mix them up and no it isn't. I would like to throw a BS flag on that play! 🚩

I can't believe the selection of products, food, etc. And the staff members are friendly and helpful. Even though it was busy, I hardly had to wait in line. Great place!
